ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR
STEVE GARCIA

Steve Garcia has been training in Taekwondo for over ten years and currently holds a 2nd Degree black belt. His interest in martial arts is long lasting, however, as he started training as a teenager in Brandon, Florida. Service to his country interrupted this endeavor, and he spent several years in the U.S. Army. Relocating to Massachusetts, Steve trained in Master An’s Taekwondo for several years. When Master Zuluaga opened his own school in February, 1999, Steve decided to affiliate with him, as the Master’s in-depth knowledge and the respect he showed to each individual are the qualities he highly valued. Steve believes that honesty breeds integrity. His ultimate goal in Taekwondo is to achieve total mind and body control.

ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR
MATHEW SHANAMAN

ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR
ANTONIO FEBO

Matt has been training in Taekwondo for over 7 years. Currently, and is working on his 3rd Dan. Taekwondo’s philosophy has completely improved my life as well as my interaction with others. He use to be introverted and have low self-esteem. Master Zuluaga’s teachings have made me an extroverted individual with a higher degree of self-esteem. Now, he’s able to assist with instruction of classes and no longer lack the confidence needed to achieve his career goals.
Some of Matt’s goals in Taekwondo, as he works towards his next rank, is to continue learning the use of the Staff as a weapon, expand his self-defense skills and continue to become a better person.

  BLACK BELTS

1ST DAN BLACK BELT
LETICIA JAQUEZ

I began training in Taekwondo at age 8. I have since, achieved my 1st Dan Black Belt and I am currently a candidate for 2nd Dan. As a competitor I have won nine gold medals and many silver and bronze. Taekwondo has affected my life in many ways. First and foremost, my shyness has become virtually non-existent and I have made many friends that are a positive influence in my life. My physical endurance as well as my flexibility and balance are also benefits that I can attribute to Taekwondo. As a 2nd Dan Black Belt I plan on improving my jumping, kicking, expand my creative poomse and sparring techniques, so that I can achieve more gold medals at tournaments. Due to my positive experience in Taekwondo, I would highly recommend it to others.
